Just barely containing my excitement, finally I had the time to visit Les Amis’ newest eatery Momozen. The size of the restaurant wasn’t that big but the feeling as I went inside was great. This restaurant has that familiar look as the other Altitude restaurant until I realized that this is where Salt Grill used to be. As far as interior goes, they’re keeping it really simple, sleek and modern. I always like the view from the Plaza’s 46th floor so you don’t really need much other things to satisfy me in term of decor. What I’m really curious is of course the almost all Truffle menu here. Let’s give it a go.
Salad Green Roll (IDR 100.000): Cucumber, butter head lettuce, white sesame with Sesame dressing. At a glance, this dish looks like sushi. I like the presentation, but the flavor was super simple and nothing to brag about.

Ebi Jaga (IDR 120.000): Jumbo tiger prawn, crispy Jagaimo potato, mango chili sauce. Love love love the presentation. The fried prawn was crispy, a little bland but still good. And I like the delicious edible crispy round hoop. Yum!

Chicken Paitan Ramen (IDR 140.000): A set of ramen, chawan mushi, salmon salad and Matcha pudding dessert. Paitan is a white thick cloudy soup made of seafood and pork/beef broth. The ramen was soft and the soup was rich and flavorful.

Shiogama Beef (IDR 380.000): 200 gram grilled rib-eye beef served on salt crust dome and Japanese condiments. Will you look at this gorgeous dish! Both the presentation and the quality of the beef was fantastic. It’s simple yet satisfying dish.

I would say that Momozen falls under the category of “the whole package”. Why? The quality of the food, the ambience and the nice service too. Overall the food wasn’t 100% excellent but I’m pretty happy with it.
