Just from the name Yoforia, probably you can already guess that the main products offered here would be yogurt-based. Recently opened at Paris Van Java Mall last December, Yoforia is a pop-up yogurt studio that will only open there for three months.  The simpleness and somewhat Japanese-influenced logo brand of Yoforia had definitely gained my attention and lured me to have a visit within a week of its opening.

The pop-up yogurt studio occupies one culinary space in the front restaurant row of PVJ ground floor.  Sleek facade with a mix of wood finish and blue paint finish adorns the building exterior.  The interior is dominated in white with the ordering counter on one end of the space. I would say that this is quite elaborate for a pop-up f&b outlet.

A semi outdoor fresco area with dining tables are also available for smoking guests or guests who prefer a more airy space to enjoy their snacks and yogurts.  I personally can enjoy both areas with a tad preference on the clean whitish modern indoor section.

Here is the chef of this Yogurt Studio, ready to take your order by the looks of him.

Since we came around lunch time, we ordered quite a few items from their menu. For your information, they do not offer large main dishes here. They do, however, serve several light meals for you to choose.

Salmon Salad with Dill Yogurt Dressing (IDR 40k) – If you are looking for healthy menu, this would be a good choice for you. The combination of green vegetable and salmon topped with a yogurt dressing will never go wrong.

Y.O.L.O. Smoothies Bowl  (IDR 40k) – Plain Yogurt, Banana, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Coconut Flake, Granola.  The combination of ingredients was alright, however the whole thing was a bit too watery for me. More density would be better I think.

Chicken Nachos with Thai Sauce (IDR 35k) – This one is highly recommended. The spices they used on this chicken nachos was yummy. The crispy texture of the outer layer was crunchy, a great match to be dipped into the thai sauce before consumption.

Gyoza with Goma Yo-Dip (IDR 35k) – This one is quite alright. Dip it into the Goma Yo dip for better taste.

Yo-Dip Wings (IDR 35k) – Chicken Wings with Tartar and Spicy Dip. Who doesn’t like chicken wings? They were nicely fried and the yo-dip surely made a great dipping sauce for this particular dish.

Yo-Dip Wedges (IDR 35k) – Potato Wedges with Tartar and Spicy Dip. This would be a great option for sharing.

Mother of Dragon (IDR 45k) – Yogurt, red dragon fruit, banana, blueberry.  The blend of yogurt and these fruits did make a lovely choice for me, since I love the beneficial aspect that each of them contribute for our body.

Yofoccino (IDR 45k) – Yogurt, espresso, and caramel.  I wouldn’t consider myself to be a coffee lover, if I did not try this one.  This signature drink in this studio was an interesting mix between yogurt and coffee.  Upon the first sip, I got a hint of the light coffee taste in the background of the somewhat sour flavor of the yogurt.

This Yofoccino is a must try, but I think it’s either you love it or you don’t.

A-Yo Peach (IDR 45k) – Yogurt, orange juice, peach. The refreshing characteristic of the orange and peach made this yogurt drink to be slurpy.

Yogurt Coffee Pannacotta (IDR 25k) – The taste was a bit like Yofoccino but served on the form of pannacotta. Quite good.

Overall, I think Yoforia brings us a new dining concept that offers an original way to enjoy yogurt.  I would definitely visit the studio as often as I can to enjoy their yogurt drink inventions that purvey an alternative to healthy drinks, before they move this pop-up studio elsewhere.
