I’ve been wanting to try this Korean restaurant for some time now, as it’s always crowded and looks tempting. As it’s expected, there’s already a waiting line outside the eatery when I arrived and I waited about 15 min which is not so bad. The restaurant is visually appealing, and has a fast and attentive service.
Ojju K-Food has a number of Korean street food dishes in their menu, from toppoki to ramyeon, but their signature dish is the cheese covered chicken wings/beef ribs.
Chicken Wings (IDR 99.000): Prepared by the server, this dish is entertaining and drool-worthy. The stretchy melted Mozzarella cheese is deliciously salty, mixed with the sweet corn although the chicken wings itself is average in taste. Even their spiciest level wasn’t at all spicy for my taste.
Chicken Dosirak (IDR 104.000): Rice bento with Chojang (Korean spicy sauce), kimchi, spinach, sunny side up egg, chicken and beef spam. This rice dish has nothing to write home about.
Seafood Ramyeon (IDR 79.000): Korean ramen with spicy soup and mixed seafood. The soup was mediocrely flavorful, although needed more kick in my opinion. The seafood was generous. Good noodles. Just okay dish.
If I had to give score to Ojju, probably 2 out of 5. Pretty good for the price range although I had better Korean food.
