Seminyak Area of Bali, which includes Petitenget and Kerobokan, are the home to many interesting cafe and restaurants. It feels like it never runs out of new venue to review. One of the restaurant that I had the opportunity to visit on my latest Bali trip is Watercress, a relatively medium-sized restaurant located just off a few minutes from the bustling street of Jl. Petitenget.
Watercress serves breakfast, lunch as well as dinner. I went there during dinner time and it is highly recommended to make a reservation first through makanluar.com to make sure you got your seat ready.
For Starters, I had Tuna Tataki, Nori Watercress Salad (IDR 70k). The tuna tataki tasted wonderful, combined with watercress salad on the side, it did make a wonderful starter to my dinner that night.
Rare Beef Salad (IDR 110k) – cucumber, baby tomato, red onion, asian herbs, toasted peanuts, crispy shallots. The salad was refreshing as well. The rare beef was a delight as it mixed with the other condiments of the dish.
Crispy Confit Duck Leg (IDR 240k) – tamarind relish, snow peas, apple, cranberry and dill salad. I have always been an avid lover of duck confit, and this one was not a disappointment to me. The meat was tender and it balanced nicely with the sauce.
