Toastina is a bakery cafe located at the front side of Sheraton Hotel Bandung. I have visited this place a few times with friends just to chill and enjoy their delicacies created by Chef Severin from Swiss.
Here you can have coffee or tea time accompanied with various Western or Indonesian cakes and snacks both outdoor or indoor. The price is surprisingly affordable ranging around IDR 30 to 60k. If you like live acoustic music, you can come on Friday as they have acoustic performance every Friday between 4 – 7 pm. This place is not only for Sheraton’s guests, but also for public.
I’ve tried so many stuff from Toastina, including tortilla, cakes, panna cottas, macarons, pralines, fried banana, tea, and also Bancinno. Even though Bancinno sounds kinda like Italian, but it’s actually an abbreviation of Bandrek Cappuccino, a well known local hot drink with a twist, with no caffeine nor coffee in it. Suitable for Bandung’s weather especially when it rains. My favorite here is cendol panna cotta, an Italian dessert with a local touch. Cendol, which was a favourite local drinks in Indonesia, refers to the green rice flour jelly inside the panna cotta. The combination truly works magic. You should try it.
