My new year resolution is finding new and exciting hang out places with good food, so I’m excited to hear this particular Japanese franchise that has just arrived in Jakarta. St.Marc Cafe, a Ginza-Tokyo dessert and bakery originated cafe, just opened its first Indonesian branch in Senayan City on Christmas day 2015. Situated just across BreadTalk, the eatery looks simple but you won’t noticed any interior once you spotted their dessert display. Famous for it’s Chococro/Chocolate croissants, I’ve learned that they specially made and bake their pastries daily with their imported ingredients. So far the menu here are only ice creams, parfait, savory sandwiches ,croissants and some other pastries. But I heard they are also working on other main courses too, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Classic Fuji (IDR 88.000 ): This croissant ice cream dessert is topped with red bean, vanilla ice cream and matcha powder. As soon as I took my first bite of the croissant, I was blown away! The pastry was so buttery, crunchy, also light and flavorful! I am totally hooked!
Choco Banana Fuji (IDR 79.900): Same yummiest of the previous, with the addition of banana and chocolate sauce.
Choco Berry Celebration (IDR 74.900): Vanilla ice cream parfait with chocolate sauce, corn flakes, pudding, butter cake and strawberry. Nice soft ice cream, the toppings was also in good quality and amount.
Gion (IDR 74.900): Vanilla soft serve ice cream with Matcha ice cream, red bean, mochi and red bean paste. Love this dessert especially the flavorful sweet red beans! Yummy!
Iced Vietnamese Coffee (IDR 39.000): Milky fragrant iced coffee.
I’m glad St.Marc is here in Jakarta and I’m adding it to my favorite dessert place. Would always come back for their croissant desserts.
