I’ve been hearing about good things about Saine Daise, a new restaurant in Pantai Indah Kapuk which brings healthy food to the table. Is it too good to be true? That’s only one way to find out, I’ll have to give it a try myself. The restaurant definitely has it’s own appeal from the interior perspective. The lobby floor, where’s the dessert station “Eio” is, has a clean wide look, with some coffee tables and dessert display cases, and lots and lots of cake samples.
Saine Daise restaurant is located on the second floor. Very elegant and classy interior. Nice lighting too. The place was packed as soon as I place my order.
Classic Caesar Salad (IDR 45.000)+ Grilled Chicken (IDR 25.000): Light creamy dressing. Good quality of veggies, but the chicken was dry.
Spicy Crispy Chicken (IDR 45.000): Popcorn chicken with garlic and chili padi slices. The chicken was crunchy and delicious.
House Made Marinated Black Cod (IDR 210.000): The fish doesn’t look that appetizing, but the sweet fragrant full sauce was tantalizing.
Ami Ebi Angel Hair (IDR 80.000): Beautiful presented, perfectly seasoned, al dante pasta.
Gyudon with Wagyu beef (IDR 169.000): Rice bowl with beef slices, poached egg, vegetables, and sauce. The poached egg wasn’t executed well, the beef was alright, good sauce. Overall just meh dish.
We also ordered some of the EiO’s Japanese desserts, regretfully I forgot to take the separate bill with me 😓.
Cheesecake: Delicious thick heavy cheesecake, similar to American cheesecake. Love it.
Banana Nutella Cake: Quite a big cake for sharing, love the crunchy cookie like crust. The chocolate and banana works really well together. Yummy.
I would say that Saine Daise doesn’t really hit my high rating for the food taste. It’s mediocre and I mostly appreciate just for the experience. The dessert though.. was memorable and would like to have more.
