As I visited this unique cafe concepts at Pelaspas Dharmawangsa, the home to several f&b ventures such as But First Coffee and SNCTRY, I decided to fill my hungry tummy at a small dumpling den called Bao Ji.

The place was cute with a tiny glass house area in the front and a regular section in the back. This blend of wall treatments from indonesian and chinese heritage with an industrial mix makes a stand-out outcome on the whole interior.

Roast Pork Belly (IDR 39k) – Grilled pork belly, hoisin, dashi mayo, crisp cracklings. As the name Bao Ji implies dumplings, this roast pork belly was stacked in between dumplings. The dumpling itself was soft and textured right. The roast pork belly was tender with crispy pork crackers and hoisin sauce. Overall taste was great.

Egg Nog (IDR 50k), which I ordered from Taco Locale, was a great treat to have during this holiday season. I have always got a soft spot for egg nog, so whenever and wherever I found one during end of year festivities, I unfailingly had one. This one was no exception and it did satisfy my crave for it. The egg nog was yummy.
