Right where it used to be Mezzanine Moovina, stands a new restaurant in Plaza Indonesia with a new name and concept. With the same exact interior and furniture, it didn’t really feel like I’m dining in a new restaurant, but it’s obvious that there are more wine collection and new menu with new head chef here. Chef Alexandre Riehl, is originally from France and has quite a resume from becoming a chef of two Michelin stars restaurant in his home town, to St. Barthelemy where he worked in Le Repaire restaurant, until he settled here in Indonesia as one of the Amuz group’s fine dining’s cooking maestro. Now he’s the one in charge of Wine Connexion’s whole new colorful gourmet menu which included France, Italian, Spanish, Asian and Western dishes.

Caesar Salad (IDR 75.000): Romaine lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, anchovies, eggs and creamy anchovy dressing. I think the waitress wasn’t trained well enough cause she told me that the salad came with poached egg although it was boiled egg. About the salad itself, it has a little too much dressing for me, but has the right taste and freshness.

Aglio Olio Pasta (IDR 175.000): Grilled marinated king prawns, angel hair Aglio e Olio, black olives and sundried tomatoes. Lovely prawns, really bold tasted pasta which I love.

Beef Tenderloin (IDR 345.000): 180 gr. of beef steak with French fries, sauteed mushrooms and mushroom sauce. We ordered Medium Well and it came out Well Done.Too bad…otherwise the steak would be juicier. The sauce has nice balance to it and the other side dishes were good too.
