Since I already came to Alam Sutera that day, I might as well proceed to Gading Serpong to try a new coffee shop there that I overheard from the net. Turning Point are located at a relatively new Ruko area that was opened in December 2014. If you are not from the area, you might want to rely on Mr. Google maps to get there. Well, I did and I found it with a few wrong turns here and there, nothing major 🙂
I heard that the barista slash owner there, was previously barista-ing at Market Lane Coffee from Melbourne before she came back to Indonesia. No wonder they have several Melbourne books. Even though the interior’s simple with little decoration and quite different from the majority of Melbourne coffee shops that I remember, the small backyard they have was nicely designed to give a homey yet foreign feeling.
Cappuccino (IDR 35,000) was nicely balanced and textured. With such a lovely latte art and smooth crema on top of it, what’s not to like. Loved it!
Granola in a Jar (IDR 40,000) was also good. I would have it any day for breakfast since I’m a sucker for healthy stuff.
Turning Point is truly a blessing for those who live in Serpong area. Now they don’t have to commute far to get a great cup of coffee. Having experienced the place and the cappuccino myself, I would recommend Turning Point to any coffee lovers out there.
