The Kitchen by Pizza Hut is a smart new concept restaurant by Pizza Hut with bigger and fancier looking food and beverages. The eatery also has a whole new look, fresher and more avant-garde. The order and pay first system lets you choose your food based on what they serve there. Mostly pizza of course plus the addition like comfort-food side dishes, soup, salad and a few sweet-tooth collection such as cakes, cookies and juice.
Caesar Salad (IDR 35.000): Unlike the salad bar they have in Pizza Hut, the kitchen staff prepares the salad here for you. The lettuce looks and tastes better than the original fast food place. The dressing was very creamy, too creamy for a Caesar but still decent for a fast food joint.
Champignon Bruschetta (IDR 14.540): Very good mushroom topping on top of crunchy bread.
Fettuccine Alfredo (IDR 30.000): Very creamy pasta, tasted pretty same with the original Pizza Hut’s.
Fettuccine Pesto Bratwurst (IDR 30.000): The pasta was overly salted, but the pesto sauce has a nice fragrant.
The pizza here has the same Pizza Hut crust but they made it more like Italian style with thin crust, I tried some of their dishes like Bratwurst (IDR 30.000/slice), La Gourmet (IDR 30.000/slice) and Salami Jalapeno (IDR 30.000/slice). All has delicious mozzarella cheese and nice toppings too.
The Hawaiian Aloha (IDR 182.000/18″w): A large thin crust pizza fit for the whole family. The toppings are pineapple pieces, calamari, pickles, tomatoes, Italian sausages, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Fulfilling sweet and tangy pizza.
Overall I had a fun experience and decent meal with good price. Although the food is still a fast food quality, it’s a nice hang out spot for people who are looking for family friendly affordable restaurant.
