Grand Indonesia’s Fifth floor has a never ending and fast restaurant updates. I haven’t been there for quite sometime and the area has a completely different tenants now. Today I’ve decided to try this eatery called Slice Of Heaven. This fresh Sky Blue colored restaurant looks friendly and youth oriented. The menu is a reflection of that, Italian-Japanese dishes that are mostly comfort food and many desserts like Honey Toast Breads with middle price range.
I was famished, so with the help of the server’s recommendations, I tried some of their main dishes:
Kani Stick Salad (IDR 65.000): Crab stick salad with Japanese dressing. I like the savory dressing, works well with the sweet shredded artificial crab topping.
Hamburg Set (IDR 85.000): Japanese beef patty with Teriyaki sauce, Rice, Baked potato and salad. The Japanese steak has a good texture, juicy, fragrant and tasty too.
Spicy Cheese Chicken Katsu (IDR 75.00): Fried Chicken topped with spicy cheese sauce and Baked potato. The chicken katsu is surprisingly bland in taste, the cheese sauce doesn’t taste like cheese, it’s more like cream/tartar sauce. The only thing I like was the extra chili on top.
The food I tasted at Slice Of Heaven today didn’t blown me away, I wasn’t too impressed by it, but it is family friendly and could be a perfect hang out place for younger crowds and alike.
