When we’re in Bali, we are surrounded by some pretty incredible breakfast nooks. And there just wasn’t enough time (or stomach!) to fit in all the deliciousness. So during our second stay at The Ritz Carlton, we decided to skip the hotel breakfast, heading for different breakfast venue every day. Our first brunch was at Monsieur Spoon. Second breakfast was at Secret Cafe. Third morning was spent at Fat Turtle. And on our last day (but surely not the least) we had our brunch in this lovely venue, Sisterfields.

Sisterfields is positioned in perfect location, a stone’s throw away from Monsieur Spoon, Grocer and Grinds, and Seminyak Square. So we had our car parked at Seminyak Square and took a stroll to Sisterfields.

The porch seating in front of the entrance of Sisterfields was pretty. Inside the café, we were greeted by the aroma of the freshly grounded coffee. Touches of white and cerulean elements were scattered throughout in the form of chairs, menus and salt and pepper shakers. A peek through the outdoor deck area at the backyard showed beautiful black & white striped umbrellas covering the place. From these three seating option we chose for the air-conditioned indoor seating.

The decor was really cool, the breakfast crowd was alive and jolly. We loved the vibe so much. It’s like something you would expect to see in cafés in Melbourne (the world’s coffee capital, and one of my dearest city in the world lovestruck)

Sisterfields  represents the iconic café culture of Australia, bringing a love of good food and great coffee to the heart of Seminyak. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu alongside a wide selection of coffees, juices and smoothies.

Sweet Corn Fritters (IDR 70K) with poached eggs, creole chutney, chorizo, and coriander cream. It’s actually a usual corn fritters that is one of Indonesian local delicacy, with an interesting twist, made it not only fascinating for foreigners but also for me.

Eggs Benedict (IDR 75K), Poached eggs, hollandaise, red pepper pesto, and toasted sourdough. It was nicely executed to deliver its purpose, a hearty breakie.

And oh, we couldn’t resist the look of our brunch! Food was delightful and lovely presented.

The Mocha (IDR 30K) was decent, just perfect to end my gorgeous brunch with a sweet note.

Since I’m a fan of carrot cakes (and I like baking carrot cakes too) I can’t help tasting carrot cakes wherever I visit new cafés. Therefore I also tried their Carrot Cake (IDR 35K/slice). But the cream cheese frosting was too sweet to my liking. I prefer the one with tangy flavour to balance the sweetness of the cake. The cake texture was moist to the point of almost being soggy. But that maybe just me who’s hard to please, especially in carrot cake department.

All the breakfast favourites, with a few innovative twists, make Sisterfields a gorgeous breakfast and brunch establishment.

I was blown away to find breakfast and brunch menu that rivalled that some specialty coffee joints in Singapore, for less than half price!

Sisterfields is a must-do when you are in Bali. It’s a favourite catch up spot for the island’s in-crowds and travelling foodies just like me and you.
