I’m so glad that more North Jakarta’s dessert places keep popping out in South areas, like North Pole Cafe, an ice cream / gelato eatery originally from PIK. The newest branch is in Gandaria City, on the 1st floor to be precise. One of the first things I’ve notice about this restaurant is their logo which is three cute cartoon Huskies. The second is the Igloo like decorations at the outside seatings. Pretty cool in terms of the themed restaurant. The menu doesn’t just cover desserts but also some snacks and main courses like pasta and rice bowls.
Salted Caramel (IDR 37.000): I’m pretty satisfied with this one. The ice cream was light, had a decent salted caramel flavor. All the toppings like the popcorn, crumbs and cornflakes worked well together. The milk pudding was also a winner.
Hula Chick (IDR 35.000): Two scoops of Lychee ice cream shaped like a Chick, served with Yakult. Cuteness overload on the presentation! Flavor wise it was just ordinary and nothing to brag about.
Overall it was a nice experience and I’d like to come back for the other variety of flavors.
