Retail therapy in Grand Indonesia has become like a weekly routine for me, along with lunch that comes with it of course. Today’s stop was Kempi Deli, a small eatery part of Kempinski Hotel next door. I always been a fan of their selections of cold cuts and fresh made breads along with healthy menu choices. The seating here is minimal but cozy and perfect for those who need a speedy service at busy office lunch hour.
I started with a green juice – Wake Up Call (IDR 45.000): Pineapple, lemon juice, pak choi, strawberry and lychee. Fresh, lots of fiber and good for you. Yum!
Pepper Seared Tuna Salad (IDR 80.000): Seasonal garden vegetables, herbs, mesclun leaves, cucumber, carrots, red cabbage, radishes a d creamy sesame dressing. Simple healthy salad with light dressing and crunchy tortilla chips. You can tell the freshness of the tuna by the pink color.
Paris I’m In Love (IDR 80.000): Croque Monsieur with smoked turkey ham, cheese, Béchamel sauce served on toasted champagne bread with mesclun leaves. The white bread was so moist, the quality of the cold cuts were superb and tasty too. I’m definitely in Love with this one.
Bolognaise Penne (IDR 85.000): Good seasonings, flavorful meat ragout Bolognese sauce and al dente pasta. Delicious.
Secret Crunch (IDR 45.000): Waffle enrobed inPraline, chocolate sponge, milk, dark chocolate mousse. Chocolate overload and that Golden ball – Adorbs !! Love the crunchy nuts in between. Good but a little too sweet for me.
Banana Mascarpone (IDR 45.000): Banana Walnut sponge cake, Mascarpone cream and caramelized banana. A combination of banana, light cream, chocolate chips..I was hooked!
Love the food and the ambience. Will always come back to Kempi Deli for more delicacies.
