A bit hidden from the main street, this restaurant has already caught my interest through the stylish building exterior and signage that reminds me of european houses in the suburbs. I went there during weekday afternoon to have my late lunch. As I was expected, the interior was funky and vintage, with heavy british influenced. I like the seriousness they put into setting up this establishment.
It’s obvious from the menu that they serve some english dishes and a few asian delights.
Golden Scotch Egg – hidden boiled egg encrusted in minced meat. I kinda wished the egg would be runny, but it’s just my personal preference. The overall is good.
Toad in the Hole – cocktail sausages baked in yorkshire pudding topped with cherry tomatoes and onion gravy.
Lancashire Hot Pot – stripes of lamb and green beans stew, baked with slices of potato on top.
They also serve decent coffees and teas.
You might want to give it a try, since the concept was quite different than most. Especially if you like or miss english dishes.
