One of the food that I always try to squeeze it into my Singapore culinary schedule is Bak Kut Teh. Since I was visiting Tiong Bahru area to check out some of the cafe and coffee shop there, I decided to have Bak Kut Teh for my lunch and tried this new found place at the same time. The cafe was like the common traditional cafe in Singapore with tables and chairs on the street curbs.
I ordered the Bak Kut Teh itself and several side dishes of tofu skin and intestines. It was surprisingly good. I have heard from several people about Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh and The Founder at balestier. However I have not heard about Old Tiong Bahru before, yet I found it to be slightly better than the other two I mentioned earlier. Well, it’s probably my personal preferences. I’ll let you guys be the judge.
