Thick Bohemian feel surrounds me as soon as I lay my eyes on Fitzroy. The quirky but fun interior represent Melbourne’s boho neighborhood with the same name,Fitzroy. Too bad the service here is kinda slow, with only one active server and a full house on a Friday noon. Like the knick knacks, the menu here are colorful from Asian to Japanese, even Italian and Mexican food.
Chicano Salad (IDR 45.000): Grilled chicken and avocado salad tossed with Fitzroy’s special Mexican dressing with sprinkles of corn tortilla. This salad doesn’t really impressed me.It’s just average sweet and sour salad.
Double Happiness Crispy Chicken (IDR 58.000): Crispy chicken with curry and plum sauce, served with rice. I wish I could experience the double happiness but the chicken just plain boring although the sauces are okay.
Brother Baba Burger (IDR 68.000): Deconstructed burger with homemade cheese stuffed beef patty and french fries. Finally something that I can sink my teeth into. The beef patty is so juicy and tasty plus the savory french fries with seasonings on the side.
Cheeky Churros (IDR 38.000): Spanish fried donuts with 3 sauces on the side. I’m sorry to say but these churros are just sad. It’s too hard inside and outside which is so wrong for a churros.
Dolce Banana Cream and Dark Choco pizza (IDR 45.000): Homemade pizza dough topped with banana, cream and finished with a drizzle of melted dark chocolate. It’s good but quite too heavy for a dessert.
