First of all, I would like to apologize for my time off writing review due to my tight schedule, congested with several personal projects. And much appreciation to Posh, for filling it consistently with Jakarta culinary review and other cities as well.
Therefore, to compensate for it, I’m doing a Bali cafe review marathon, which will be followed by the Bandung marathon. Keep checking us regularly. 🙂
The next one on my Bali list is Balique, a sister company of Bistrot, Seminyak. You can also check my review at Bistrot by Chic Eater. Located at the seaside fishing village of Jimbaran, Balique’s open-style roof interior was designed by its owners, Zohra and Blaise, to give the guests a traditional and hospitable yet sophisticated ambiance. Loved it! It’s perfect for high tea and romantic dinner.
Since my visit there was in between meals, I only ordered a few selections of their menu.
Seared Salmon Ginger (IDR 100,000) – The salmon was nicely seared. The taste of ginger was balanced. A great dish.
Tuna Tartar (IDR 55,000) – The tuna tartar was spot on. The tuna was fresh and delectable.
Fresh Coconut (IDR 28,000)
Having experienced both Bistrot and Balique, I have to applaud their effort on putting incredible details on the interior of both restaurants. It does generate a value added experience to the guests. The food and drinks were also prepared with attention to both taste and presentation. Great job guys.
