One of the must-visit places that I had on my list was Auroz. I did some brief research and found that this is one of the newest establishment from the same owners as the well-known Cassis and Amuz fine dining. The first thing that I’ve noticed about this place was the nice romantic and simple, but alluring interior. Auros has many private rooms from 10 to 20 people,which is very convenient for those who love to entertain. The menu consisted of fusion Italian,French,and Western cuisine and focused on the grills.
Prosciutto De Parma (IDR 165.000): Tomato Crostinis,Parmesan Cheese and Rocket salad. The Parma Ham was delicious, the presentation was fantastic. Overall this salad was delectable.
Gourmet Salad (IDR 95.000): Poached egg, Onion Ring, Parma ham, Mesclun lettuce. Perfectly cooked poached egg, fresh ingredients and very tasty dressing.
Mushroom Soup (IDR 85.000): Light creamed Paris mushroom Cappuccino with Truffle essence. Unlike some mushroom soup,you can really taste the bits of mushrooms in this dish. The consistency was wonderful and the best thing about it was the strong Truffle flavor.
Black Summer Truffle Pasta (IDR 375.000): Angel hair pasta with Pan fried eggs and wild rocket. It was al dente, perfectly seasoned, with generous amount of truffle slices that you can really bite into.
Grilled Marinated King Prawn (IDR 195.000): Angel hair aglio olio with Kalamata Olive and Sun dried tomato.
Angus Tenderloin beef (IDR 345.000): Juicy great quality beef with Baked potato, Sauteed mushroom and Grandma Bacon and Mushroom Jus.
Chocolate Moelleux (IDR 75.000): Chocolate melt with Vanilla sauce and Pistachio ice cream. The presentation was beautiful, the ice cream was superb, but to bad, the chocolate cake was overcooked.
Apple Tart Tatin (IDR 65.000): Auroz version of apple pie. I’m a fan of the crunchy apple slices and the freshly tasted pastry. Nice touch on the Cinnamon icecream too.
Creme Brulle (IDR 65.000): Three Orange Creme Brulle with mixed berries. I applaud the creativity of adding the crunchy Profiterole-like puff pastry. It added the Wow to the otherwise boring Creme Brulle.
