Torino is another new Italian place that just born between the fast growing Gunawarman street in South Jakarta. There wasn’t much to tell about the interior. It’s just a simple restaurant with a huge sliding door, a bar on a corner, and a few pictures of Italy on the wall. At dinner time, it’s a completely smoking area, with open windows, so it’s not a very cozy place for a non smoker such as myself.

Judging by my first visit here, the pasta was D-licious!! And I’m not just being nice when I said it. They weren’t kidding when they stated ‘imported pasta’ on the menu. The quality of the pasta was superb, and you can really taste it. The way they cooked it (medium well) was genius. It’s al dante, and blended perfectly with all the amazing sauces and spices that they use.

Carpaccio Bresaola (IDR 95.000): Cured beef, cherry tomato, original Parmesan cheese, Rocket salad.

Spaghetti Calamari E Pomodorini (IDR 70.000): Imported pasta, fresh Calamari, Cherry tomato, white wine, and Parsley.

Penne Amatriciana (IDR 65.000): Imported pasta, tomato sauce, onion, and beef bacon.

Creama Catalana (IDR 35.000): Good Creme Brulee.
