I’ve almost lost hope in finding budget friendly new restaurant with great food and nice ambience to go to, when I heard Tin Pan Alley from a friend. Three words to describe this family friendly restaurant: Worth Every Penny! When I first entered the restaurant, it looked like any other dimmed lighted eateries places in the city, but the further I went inside, I got starstruck by the funny words on the wall and the simple but sweet New Yorker style diner interior. I was truly excited to see familiar American food on the menu, coz you can’t really find many of those in Jakarta. They also serve breakfast menus which are rare to find. The service was great, with funny waitresses, and the most important thing… Knows how to take pictures for us. Here are the foods that we ordered that day:
Caesar Salad: Good strong salty fish taste.
Red Devil Buffalo Chicken Wings: Okay, just fried wings with a hint of Tabasco.
Potato Wedges with Southern Chili: Love it! A modest version of Johnny Rockets’ fries.
Seared Barramundi with Papaya Mango Salsa : Taste good, but slightly over cooked fish.
Bow Tie Pasta: Al Dente, happiness in your mouth.
Pork Chops with Cranberry Sauce: The meat is a bit tough, but the taste combined with the sauce is delicious. Served with steam veggies, mash potatoes, and salad.
Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast with White Butter Sauce : This is one of my favorites. The juicy stuffing and the chicken really spoiled your tongue. Served with mash potatoes, gravy, salad. Gotta try.
Apple Crumble Pie: I Love it! It’s not your typical American pie, but rather upgraded to our Asian taste. It might be too sweet for some, but good enough for my taste.
Chocolate Brownie: Ordinary. One thing that I like about it was the absence of nuts in it. So it’s purely soft chocolate taste. Good for chocolate lovers.
