The original Sate House Senayan is located in Pakubuwono Street and has been there to serve us, Indonesian food lovers, since 1974. This family friendly restaurant has a simple modernized traditional interior design. Natural sun light brighten up the place and the helpful waitresses are always ready to take your order.

Sate Ayam (IDR 34.000) : The restaurant’s signature dish, yummy sweeten red meat chicken satay with savory peanut sauce and sambal.

Tahu Telur (IDR 27.000): Beancurd Omelette with special sweet sauce.

Tongseng/Gulai Kambing (IDR 41.000): Javanese spicy goat meat soup.

Tumis Kangkung Terasi (IDR 25.000): Stir fried Watercress with chili paste. Delicious and full of flavor.

Nasi Gudeg (IDR 35.000): Gudeg is a traditional food from Yogyakarta and Central Java, Indonesia which is made from young Nangka (jack fruit) boiled for several hours with palm sugar, and coconut milk. It’s served with white rice, chicken, hard-boiled egg, tofu and/or tempeh, and a stew made of crisp beef skins (sambal goreng krecek).

Kepiting Soka Saus Mentega (IDR 74.000): Fried Soft Shell crab with margarine sauce, served with sweet and sour sambal mangga (mango chili sauce).

Es Coklat Kacang Merah (IDR 28.000): Shaved Ice with red bean and chocolate sauce plus cubes of white bread. My favorite dessert in Sate House Senayan.
