Another coffee shop was opened recently to join the already getting crowded niche hospitality industry. And this time it resides in an uncommon area with large market that has not been tapped yet regionally. Watt coffee, located at Jl. Kwitang, Senen, Central Jakarta quickly became popular among fellow coffee lovers.
I went there to experience the coffee experience that they have to offer. When I arrived on early afternoon, the air temperature in the outdoor area was a bit warm, so I went in to order and chose to sit inside by the window. The space can be considered small, however I love the ambience emitted from this rich smartly-designed interior, brought about hipster and homy atmosphere for the patron.
At the time of my visit, they did not serve brunch or any heavier meals besides some pastries and cakes. The server told me good news though, that they will be serving it pretty soon.
Plain Croissant – The croissant was good, but a little bit too crunchy for me.
Pastel – It was served with peanut sauce and it was pretty good.
Cappuccino – For the coffee, they were serving blends from Tanamera Coffee, hence the similar texture and taste offered for the espresso-based drinks. I happen to like the stronger body coffee, so I have to give a thumbs up for their coffee.
LOL – This lemon-based drinks with kiam boy was refreshing, good for you guys who like sour.
My visit there drew a sure conclusion that Watt Coffee is definitely a great addition to the cafe scene there, and they offer nice spot for you to either hangout with friends or just laying back with your reading and coffee. I felt my trip to Senen area was not a disappointment at all.
