Stepping inside Tredici Ristorante,I felt a sense of comfort and tranquility. I don’t know was it because of the open kitchen with the traditional brick pizza open or maybe the faux fireplace that created the ambiance. Some might be skeptical with about yet another new Italian restaurant among the dozen ones around the same area,but I had a good feeling about this particular one…and I was right! The overall of the food (in my first visit here) was superb, the only downside (sadly) was the desserts.
Fiorentina (IDR 58.000): Rocket greens, tomato, basil. Mushroom, grilled Scamorza cheese, basil pesto. Very simple salad, with pesto dressing and a chunk of delicious fresh melty cheese on top. Perfectly seasoned, lovely acidity on he dressing, wasn’t the most healthy salad around because of the cheese, but I love it!
Cesare (IDR 68.000): Romaine lettuce, red onion, mayonnaise, anchovies, garlic croutons, caesar dressing. Lovely Caesar salad with rich dressing and croutons.
Pappardelle A Casereccia (IDR 72.000): Pappardelle pasta, green peas, mushrooms, Italian pork sausage, tomato sauce and dash of cream. The pasta was super fresh that you really can taste it, it’s al dente, the sauce was tasty without being too rich/over the top, lovely sausages, the only thing that’s a miss was the uncooked green peas.
Messalina (IDR 118.000): Tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese, red onion, Emmenthal cheese, and smoked chicken. Thin crust, perfectly cooked, light and crunchy on the edges, delicious toppings especially the cheese. Could possibly be one of he best pizza in town.
Tagliatelle con Aragosta (IDR 220.000): Tagliatelle pasta, lobster, tomato wine sauce. Perfectly cooked, fresh tasting pasta, light nicely seasoned sauce, with plenty lobster pieces to indulge.
Mantova (IDR 118.000): Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese. Italian pork sausage, Gorgonzola cheese, rocket greens pizza. Love the thin crust, the tomato sauce is flavorful and tasty with scrumptious sausages.
Sogliola Alla Mugnaia (IDR 118.000): Dover Sole fish fillet. Sage butter, lemon cream sauce, roasted baby potatoes, marinated Zucchini, grilled tomato. The sauce was delicious,nicely presented, the fish was cooked perfectly but it needed more salt.
Petto Di Pollo Ala Parmigiana (IDR 96.000): Chicken breast stuffed with eggplant, mozzarella cheese, white wine, tomato sauce, mashed potato, and mixed vegetables. The chicken was tasty, cooked with perfection without being too dry out. Too bad all the veggies were mushy and overcooked.
Dori Caperroli E Carciofi (IDR 118.000): Sauteed Dory fillet, capers, marinated Artichokes, white wine herbs sauce, sun dried tomatoes, fresh lemon. The generous portion of fish was tender, nicely seasoned too.
Cannoli (IDR 48.000): Rolled puff pastry, cream custard filling, Pistachio and chocolate sauce. The puff pastry was dry, hard and the filling wasn’t helping either.It was bland and just terrible.
Torta Di Mele (IDR 58.000): Homemade Cinnamon and apple raisin rum pie with Vanilla ice cream. Same horrible puff pastry, thick and tough, the apple filling was breaking apart, tasteless and disappointing.
Tortino Du Cioccolato (IDR 48.000): Baked melted chocolate cake, hazelnut, with vanilla ice cream. I ordered 2 of this, and both were overcooked, there were hardly and melted chocolate inside. Too bad, otherwise the taste was alright.
Panna Cotta Con Fragole (IDR 42.000): Italian vanilla cream pudding with strawberry sauce and two pieces of mini cookies. Finally something that’s right among the dessert menu. The pannacotta was light and tasty, nicely eaten with the sweet and sour strawberry sauce. It’s delightful.
