I’ve been itching to try this dessert place for quite a while but with Jakarta’s traffic nowadays,it’s getting harder and harder to find a time to visit the North side if you live on the other end of the city. Sumoboo is a Japanese style eatery with a blend with Taiwanese and Indonesian taste buds. This place has two levels and always packed from time to time. Among the famous ice mochi desserts, they also provide Japanese food such as ramen and rice don.
Kakigori #5 (IDR 40.000): Nutella bomb, Chocolate mountain and sliced almond. For me the ice shaving with Ovaltine-like powder was just so so…but the mochi was another story but itself. It looks like ordinary mochi but the Nutella explosion in your mouth as you bite it, was fantastic. You just can’t get enough of it.
Kakigori #6 (IDR 45.000): Sumoboo Kakigori, red bean, vanilla ice cream, big boba, mochi, egg pudding, sliced almond, taro and nata de coco. You’ve got crunch, creamy, gooey, freshness and richness, practically all the deliciousness in one bowl.
Sumoboo’s Grass jelly dessert #5 (IDR 35.000): Grass jelly, big boba, green tea ice cream,Sumo bomb ball, mochi, red bean, taro. Similar to Kakigori #6, with slightly different toppings.
Tori Popcorn (IDR 35.000): Taiwanese style boneless fried chicken topped with spicy seasonings.
