Sugabites Patisserie – Senopati Jakarta

Author: Posh Eater

Newly opened, this small pastry shop looks shyly hidden on Senopati Road. It’s right next to Ray White office and you can see the sign on the side of the road. I’ve learned that this place is originated from Surabaya. Besides whole cakes, mini cakes and pannacotta they also serve some real meals like Mexican rice and savory snacks. I was here for desserts so I ordered some of their recommendations to satisfy my curiosity. I’ve always enjoyed writing on black boards as a kid and there’s a long board on the wall where you can decorate to your heart’s content, and as you can see…I really took advantage of it :-)).

Darren’s Greenies Petite (IDR 35.000): Matcha cake with soft light sponge cake and strong green tea flavor and fragrant.

Carlie Petite (IDR 35.000): Lychee cake with also light sponge cake and vanilla creme. Love the unique Lychee flavor and Lychee bits that you can find in between the cake, although my only concern was that the cake was a little too wet for my liking.

Najela’s Favorite (IDR 35.000): Rose Pistachio Cake with pink creme that really smells like Roses and generous amount of Pistachio crumbs. This one tasted nice, fragrant and the Pistachio added the extra crunch to it.
