I accidentally found this coffee shop on my morning stroll around the Haven hotel seminyak, hence I decided to try having breakfast there. They have two seating sections, separated by a small alley. One is a regular chair seating close to the bar counter, while the other one is a mix between chair seating and traditional bali floor seating.
Upon knowing that their coffee is from revolver espresso, I quickly ordered a cappuccino (IDR 28,000) to accompany my breakkie session. It was quite nice, however I felt that the one I had at Revolver was a tad better.
From the menu, I chose poached eggs with mushroom on the side (IDR 33,000). I had to say that the breakfast was just mediocre. The toasted bread was a bit tough and the mushroom was not seasoned well. Luckily, the eggs were poached just right. Since they are quite newly opened, it is probable that they have not set up the kitchen team optimally. I would implore the management team to improve the kitchen a bit to compete with the other breakfast providers in the area. We love the place though.
Since the weather at the time was terribly hot, I ordered a young coconut (IDR 25,000) to quench the thirst. It was so refreshing. Awesome!
Conclusively, I think sacred ground can be better with more focus on the kitchen side. I would visit again if my future trip to Bali put me in the adjacent area.
