Suan Thai restaurants has been there since I can remember and Phloey as the younger version of the household name restaurant, brought authentic selections of Thai cuisine that’s both affordable and worth the taste. The only downside is maybe the amount of MSG they use on the dishes. It was a little too much for me.
Tom Yum Kung (IDR 40.000/bowl): A traditional Thai style hot and sour soup with mushrooms, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and chili paste. Good tasting soup with a big juicy prawn.
Kung Hom Pa (IDR 60.000): Shrimp in a blanket, served with tamarind sauce. Love the crunchy wonton coating with tasty shrimp inside.
Keng Keaw Wan Neah-Small (IDR 90.000): Beef in green curry with eggplants, kaffir leaves and sweet basil leaves. Sweet juicy tangy rich and fulfilling dish.
Neah Yang (IDR 90.000): Special grilled beef marinated in Phloey’s special sauce served with lemon chili sauce.
Pla Pung Tek -Small (IDR 120.000): Deep fried Gurami fish topped with seafood salad. Love the combination of sweet and the acidity of the young mango slices. Perfect yo be eaten with the crunchy fish.
Tom Man Pla (IDR 70.000): Deep fried fish patties served with cucumber and peanut along with tamarind sauce.
Manciam (IDR 30.000): Candied cassava with coconut cream.
