Bali, the island of many faces as I would call it, has a lot of everything. That is one reason why it becomes such a popular tourist destination for people around the world. Whether you visit it for a family vacation, backpacking adventure, beach activities, culinary excursion or even just for a relaxing weekend or spa get away, you definitely won’t find it lacking of whatever you are looking for. I, myself, have visited the island numerous times on various adventure purposes and have found it pleasing and satisfying to say the least.
Diverse options of accommodation you can go with is one thing that help create all those varying holiday experience. One of them is villas, instead of the other more common ones, like hotels or resorts. Each one provides different experiences for us to savor. While resorts, as mentioned in my previous articles, are putting you up in a separate world, villas deliver you privacy like none other. Depending on the villa, you might encounter differing levels of privacy and feeling of seclusion.
This particular trip to Bali with MakanLuar.Com brought me to stay at Peppers Sentosa Seminyak. My arrival at the villa was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. It helped bring the temperature down in this hot sunny day. As I looked around the lobby area, I noticed that Peppers Sentosa was unlike other villas that I have visited before. It has a large lobby area, a restaurant, a spa and swimming pool for the guests, facilities that are nowhere to be found in common villas. I would consider it as a semi villa, as well as a semi hotel, since it got characteristics of both.
Peppers Sentosa offers villa with one to five bedrooms suite selections, so they can accommodate guests from couples, small or large families, or band of friends. Each suites are designed to be self sufficient with all these facilities or amenities within it: private swimming pool, tropical garden setting, gourmet kitchen with microwave, digital televisions with satellite channels, integrated dvd system and cd player, phone and internet access. Impressive huh? Wait till you experience it for yourself. I was dazzled the first time around, and I still felt the excitement the second time I stopped over and spent the nights there.
The 3-bedroom suites that I stayed this time, has a private swimming pool in the middle with a patio on the side. The rooms are situated around the pool with an additional living room close to the front entrance. The master bedroom has direct access to the pool so you can just slide out the window and dive right in. Each room is equipped with inside bathroom with an outdoor shower setting.
I was shown to the 4-bedroom and 5-bedroom villas as well. The arrangement and layout were a bit different between each one, but the excellence of facilities provided was on the same level. They all have a master bedroom, a living room area, a swimming pool and a sitting tent by the side of the pool.
The restaurant here is named The Laneway, serving gourmet dining to villa guests as well as outside visitors. I love the interior and the elegant ambiance it emitted. It was richly embellished with natural materials on the walls, columns, floors as well as the ceilings.
We also ordered two egg dishes. One of them is Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were prepared properly and they both tasted good. The egg yolks on the poached eggs were runny when cut, showing that they were perfectly cooked.
This is, in fact, the second time I stayed at the villa. The first time was a few years back when me with a group of friends consist of four couples rented the 4-bedroom villa suites. The experience was fun and memorable at the highest level as we could spend time together chitchatting by the pool or doing some activities or games in the living room, and afterwards we could retreat to our own room and have our privacy. It was truly the perfect choice of villa for many visitors. If you have not tried it yet, you might want to put it on your list for your next Bali trip.
