On a calm Bali night, we went to Mozaic restaurant and beach club which is located quite secluded from the others. It’s just the place we needed to have a long overdue romantic candlelight dinner, We got seated at the fine dining area,at the table overlooking the ocean and it was breathtaking. Below the restaurant was the lounge-bar with nicely lighted swimming pool in the middle. Although there weren’t too many customers that day, the food was still served in excellent quality, along with great service.
Crispy Pork Belly (IDR 170.000): Slow cooked Octopus, Kaffir lime gel, Fuji apple, Coriander leaf and pork skin “Tuile”. Delicious and nicely seasoned pork belly, love the tangy sauce that came with it. It really brought out the taste. Lovely octopus cooked with perfection too.
Beef Tenderloin (IDR 370.000): Australian Campbells Grain Fed with Mozaic’s signature green pepper corn sauce. Beautifully presented, this beef tenderloin was succulent, tender, juicy and melted in my mouth.
Black Linguine (IDR 180.000): Black linguine of butter poached crab claw, vine tomatoes, fresh basil and crab oil emulsion. Nicely cooked fresh tasting pasta, seasoned really well too. Couldn’t get enough of it.
Mozaic’s Clay – Chocolate and Kaffir Lime (IDR 75.000): Kaffir Lime gelato, chocolate powder and confit “Belimbing Wuluh”. Cute chocolate dessert that fun to eat, you’ll have to crack it open to get the mousse inside. The gelato was also good, sweet sour and complimented the sweet chocolate dessert. And the Belimbing Wuluh ‘manisan’ is to die for.
