Metis – Bali

Author: Posh Eater

We stopped by Metis on our latest visit to Bali, it was around 3 pm but surprisingly some of the tables were fully reserved. As a dessert fanatic, I immediately checked the back section of the lunch menu & was disappointed to found out that they only serve the Souffle for dinner! So I settled with the Apple Tart instead.

We started with Grilled Octopus with Saute Baby Potatoes, Red Wine Butter Sauce, Parsley & Mesclun Salad: Sour dressing with a hint of sweetness. The Salmon Carppacio was fresh & light. We also ordered the Minestrone soup. It’s refreshing but in need of a touch of salt. The Beef Stroganov with rice was very tasty. The combination of the herbs, wine & the beef broth were perfect, even though the meat was a little bit over cooked for me. The Fettucini Aglio Olio with Clams was superb! Light, fresh, and Al dente just the way I like it. The Apple Tart was Delicious! Crispy pastry with lightly sweeten apple slices, served with vanilla ice cream. Over all the food was Good. But they could’ve done better with the over priced menus.
