L’Osteria – Jakarta

Author: Posh Eater

My next stop in my culinary journey was L’Osteria. This new Italian eatery just opened just a few weeks ago, but the place already looks up and running. Homey and simple was my first impression of L’Osteria. The down side was that the waitress still lacking knowledge about the menu.

Tartare di Salmone (IDR 110.000): Raw Salmon, Zucchine, avocado, orange. I was overwhelmed by the raw salmon smell. I’m no expert but I think the dish was lacking some more herbs to balance the odor.

Brushetta (IDR 50.000): Four slices of bread with 2 tomato and 2 mushroom toppings.

Caprese (IDR 95.000): Fresh tomato slice with imported Mozzarella 125 grm and basil.

Insalata Cesare (IDR 60.000): Romana lettuce with chicken, nuts, and imported Caesar dressing. Tasty salad, a little too generous on the dressing.

Tagliatelle Nere (IDR 110.000): Homemade black fettuccine with mix seafood. Delicious taste but the pasta was a little overcooked.

Spaghetti Aop Tonno (IDR 80.000): Spaghetti, garlic, olive oil, chili, tuna olive oil. Although lacking on the presentation, this pasta was delicious.

Scaloppine Ai Funghi (IDR 140.000): Veal escaloppe with fries and mushroom sauce. Tender and tasty veal with creamy mushroom sauce.

4 Stagioni Pizza (IDR 95.000): Tomato sauce, Mozzarella, ham,Artichoke, mushroom and sausage toppings. I Love the thin pizza crust. The ham and sausage pizza was delicious, but the mushroom and artichoke ones were a little bland for my taste.

Prosciutto E Funghi (IDR 100.000): Thin crust pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham and mushroom.

Bavarese Strawberry (IDR 40.000): Pannacotta-like dessert with strong coconut flavor. A little bland for my taste.

Tiramisu (IDR 45.000): Not a fan of the weird cheesy smell.

Chocolate mousse (IDR 35.000): Just ordinary chocolate mousse with nothing special about it.
