La Finca – Canggu Bali

Author: Posh Eater

La Finca has a meaning of ‘Farmhouse’ in English. If you enjoy Bali’s outdoor air, you’ll appreciate La Finca’s natural surroundings. First you’ll see the welcoming arch with the name of the restaurant, the garden seats are right there on the front yard. The rest of the building is very earthy, with distressed wooden tables and chairs, high ceilings in a Indonesian traditional building. This restaurant serves Spanish food, mostly tapas but also some Western fusion food like burgers.

Albondigas Salsa (IDR 45.000): Beef meatballs with fresh tomato sauce and Feta cheese. A bowl full of succulent beef meatballs, with lovely sauce on top.

LF8a

Calamares Fritos (IDR 65.000): Fried calamari here was heaven sent. The crisp was just right, the squid was fresh and tender. And I love the squid ink based sauce.

Setas Rusticas (IDR 45.000): Wood fire baked mushrooms, garlic, mozzarella, with herbs and garlic oil. Plenty of mushrooms to indulge, simple seasonings and delicious cheese topping.

Chorizo Manzana (IDR 49.000): Grilled Chorizo sausage and apples. The sausage was flavorful and works well with the apples.

LF11a

Rucula Calabaza (IDR 59.000): Rocket salad tossed with wood fired roasted pumpkin chunks, feta, toasted almond, fried shallots, soy marinated mushrooms and soy vinaigrette. Fresh arugula mixed with savory cheese, it’s simply good.

LF12a

Hamburguesa Pollo (IDR 85.000): Wood fired grilled chicken thigh with crushed avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, and Cayenne chili Aioli, served with Spanish slaw and potato chips. Overall the burger was just average.

I give 3 out of 5 stars for La Finca’s terrific food and ambiance. Would recommend it for your next trip to Bali.
