Depending on the purpose of your Bali visit and the company you’re going with, certain hotels might suit you better than the others. As I have previously brought up in a Bali hotel blog write up, Bali offers everything for everybody and I was not just making it up. Having visited Bali so many times and stayed on quite a few hotels, villas and resorts, I feel that each type of accomodations serves its own particular purposes.
My current Bali trip brought me to experience a hotel by Avilla Hospitality, called Kokonut Suites for the third time. The word ‘suites’ in the name implies that all the rooms provided here are Suites, meaning each unit consists of bedroom(s), living room and pantry. They offer either One-bedroom Suites or Two-bedroom Suites, and I have tried both on two different occasions.
As they offer only suites of one or two bedrooms, with separate living room and pantry area, it would be most suitable for families or group of friends on a rather longer stay, say one or two weeks. For this type of guests, amenities that facilitate togetherness and price would be a higher determinant factor rather than a matter of seclusion or having its own private beach, for example.
It does not then mean that you won’t have certain degree of seclusion or access to cool places. Being located in petitenget just beside Metis, very close to kerobokan, you have close access to the most happening cafe, restaurant and lounge as well as popular beach clubs like Potato Head and Kudeta. Also, you will still maintain some level of seclusion inside the complex as it has its own swimming pool, gym and spa.
I stayed on the one bedroom suite, which photos I shared below. From the entrance, you enter into a living room with a pantry unit and dining table, with access to a balcony. The bedroom, that has a working desk and access to the bathroom, is in another room separated by sliding doors. The unit is quite spacey that allows for privacy so when a member of the family is using the room, the other members can have activities on the living room. The pantry brings about convenience by enabling guests to heat up food or even prepare their own cooking during the stay.
Here are some of the shots I took on the two bedroom suites and the spa to let you get a feel of what this hotel has to offer.
On this third stay at Kokonut Suites, I noticed major change on its dining area. Now, they are associated with Livingstone and Buro to provide a better breakfast and dining experience for the guests. I was excited to say the least, since the breakfast was served in such hispter-ish ambience.
For the hotel breakfast, we were given a Fresh Fruit Platter and a Mixed Toasted Bread to start it with. And for the drinks, we got either Coffee or Tea and a Fresh Fruit Juice. As for the main course, we have selection of menu as follow: Nasi Goreng Kampung, The Baker’s Big Breakfast, Egg Benedict, Sun Shine, Homemade Pancake, Breakfast Basket. We chose to have The Baker’s Big Breakfast and Sun Shine.
It is apparent that Kokonut Suites offer a lot for most people. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Just a little note, if you bring older family members, you might want to request the room on the first floor as there is no elevator to get to the 2nd and 3rd floors.
