I love the concept of Kado++ Japanese restaurant, Grand Indonesia. Open space that’s tempting from the outside, bricks walls with wooden furnitures creates warm colors of friendly dining place.
This place specialized in Yakitori (BBQ satay/skewers) and Japanese rice bowls. To start my lunch, I ordered the Wakame Salad (IDR 40.000): The Japanese seaweed salad was delicious. Fresh greens with great taste of simple dressings made from vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and ginger.
Special mixed Buta Moriawase (IDR 135.000): Yakitori set consisted of Salmon fish, Ginnan/ Ginkgo nuts,Ebi/ prawns,Tsukune/chicken ground meat,Shishitou/green pepper, Wagyu Harami/Wagyu tender beef, Buta bara negi miso/pork meat with negi-miso. You can choose between salty sauce, sweet sauce/ half sweet and half salty yakitori. All of the skewers were delicious, except for the pork which was very tough.
Tamagoma Gyumameshi (IDR 60.000): Spicy Japanese steamed rice with beef slices and soft boiled egg toppings, served in a hot pot bowl. Really tasty and fulfilling dish. Everything in it tasted fresh and delicious.
Taiyaki Ice Cream (IDR 25.000): Original taiyaki/Japanese cake served with two scoops of ice creams of your choice (Macha/Ogura/Vanilla). The ice cream was good, but I wish I could say the same about the taiyaki. The fish shaped cake was tasteless and tough, it obviously wasn’t made freshly.
