Few hours drive to Ubud has made me thirsty with fresh air. I stopped by at Jungle Fish, a lounging and dining place somewhere literally in the Ubud jungle. This place has a breath taking view of Bali natural resources, with a swimming pool that you can use with minimum spend of IDR 150.000/person. There are also eight villas to rent here, perfect place for those who love the nature and in need of serenity.

Having a Mediterranean and some vegetarian menu, I opted for these simple snacks:

Mesclun Salad (IDR 95.000): Crab meat, baby greens, radish, avocado, tomatoes, pommel. Small portion of salad, the ingredients were fresh and the simple dressing was refreshing.

Crab Falafel (IDR 95.000): Falafel, crab tempura, sundries tomato aioli, cumin aioli, safron aioli. Cute presentation, the falafel were the perfect bite portions, executed nicely with good texture and flavor.

Calamari (IDR 75.000): The squid was tough to chew, the only thing that I love was the sauce.

The visit to Jungle Fish was lovely in terms of the view. I couldn’t say a lot about the food because didn’t get to try them much. I think this one deserves a second visit.
