Like a day without traffic jam, Good Mexican food is a rarity in Jakarta, that’s why I think Hacienda is one of the top place to go.The spanish interior has the feel of both modern and authentic vibe. The menu are original and generous in portion with beautiful presentation on the dishes.
Taco Salad Shrimp (IDR 95.000): Crisp flour tortilla bowl filled with lettuce, tomato, onions, seasoned shrimps and topped with delicious guacamole and sour cream.
Jalapeno poppers (IDR 85.000): Cheddar and cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers with tangy Tomatillo sauce.
Table Side Guacamole (IDR 75.000): Quite entertaining, delicious traditions fresh avocado dip, prepared table side and served with crispy tortilla chips.
Antojitos Platter (IDR 150.000): A sampler platter of cheese Quesadillas, bean and cheese nachos, beef Taquitos (Small rolled up tortillas with beef filling), Chimichanguitas (Flour tortilla filled with rice and beans, then deep fried, and topped with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo); and Jalapeno poppers. Fantastic way to have a bit of everything.
Enchilada Cheese and salsa roja (IDR 90.000): Baked warm tortillas filled with cheese and mushrooms and salsa roja. Delicioso!
Camarones Ala Diabla (IDR 199.000): Shrimp sauteed in spicy red chili sauce, served with Mexican rice,sauteed vegetables and tortillas.
Pollo Con Crema Y Rajas (IDR 135.000): Grilled chicken cooked with Poblano peppers and sour cream, served with Mexican rice, beans and tortillas.
Banana Rum Salsa (IDR 69.000): Dark Rum glazed banana salsa, served over vanilla ice cream.My least favorite of all.The ice cream was flaky although the short bread was okay.
Kahlua Flan (IDR 49.000): Caramelized glazed egg custard with Kahlua. Rich creamy pudding that’s to die for.
