I went for a retail therapy in Kota Kasablanka mall and came across Caprese. The restaurant is quite easy to find because it’s on the lobby right across where Starbucks is. The eatery is quite spacious with long bar, cozy booth seats with adorned chandeliers, some more dining tables and an outdoor patio with comfy sofas for some R&R. The food here is focused on Italian food with some French and Western touch. The price is quite reasonable and the quality of the food is satisfactory.
Nicoise Salad (IDR 49.000): Fresh seared ahi tuna, boiled green beans, boiled potatoes, capers and anchovies and boiled egg on rucola and romaine lettuce served with hollandaise sauce and thousand island dressing. Nicely cooked Ahi tuna, fragrant dressing with the right amount of acidity. The weird things are the thousand island and hollandaise sauce on the side, which I end up didn’t touch.
Linguine Tikka Prawn (IDR 75.000): Linguine pasta in mixed pan-fried vegetables, cherry tomato, basil and spices with marinated prawns. The pasta is al dente, I can taste the freshness of the tomato sauce.
Cajun Tenderloin (IDR 189.000): Australian grilled tenderloin in the house special blended spices, served with mashed potato and grilled vegetables. I asked for a medium well steak but it came out well done. Luckily the meat is still tender and quite juicy although nothing cajun about it at all.
