Bottega Ristorante – Fairgrounds SCBD Jakarta

Author: Posh Eater

Bottega Ristorante has just moved to a bigger, new location in SCBD area. The ex Kuningan resident looks so lavishly decorated, still keeping it’s glamour black and gold interior and cool vibe. I must confess, I haven’t revisit the place for quite a while, so I’ve noticed some new interesting dishes on the menu. And may I say, such tempting fusion and original menu they have here among the tons of selections. I’ll just cut to the chase with the ones that I’ve picked today.

Chicken Quesadilla (IDR 107.000): Chicken breast, avocado, caramelized peppers, cheese and bacon grilled quesadillas. Lovely light wrap, tasty fillings.

Chicken Quesadilla

Mushroom and Spinach Gratin (IDR 101.000): Gratinated spinach and mushroom, one sunny side up egg, toast, with pork/beef bacon. This dish looks lovely, but overly salty. Too bad cause the spinach and mushroom smothered in cream were delicious.

Mushroom and Spinach Gratin

Spaghetti Nero Seppia with Squid Ink in Pink Sauce (IDR 158.000): Squid ink spaghetti, squid, cherry tomatoes, Arugula, shaved Parmesan. Velvety pasta and rich in flavor, the only problem was that the squid was kind of rubbery.

Spaghetti Nero Seppia

Mushroom and Truffle Risotto (IDR 139.000): Mushroom, Arborio Rice, Truffle Oil and Arugula. The rice was cooked nicely, creamy rich sauce, strong Truffle oil.

Sambal Matah Aglio Olio with Grilled Chicken (IDR 145.000): Sambal Matah, Olive Oil, Garlic, Chili Flakes, Grilled Chicken Breast. This fusion Indonesian Italian pasta was spicy, fragrant and addicting. Tasted more like Indonesian noodle but I like it all the same.

Sambal Matah Aglio Olio

Seared Salmon with Romesco (IDR 185.000):  Norwegian Salmon, Seasonal Vegetables and Dill. The salmon was a little over cooked, but the sauce worked well with the fish. It’s good.

Dessert:

Dark Chocolate Brownie (IDR 89.000): Brownie with cookie dough and marshmallows. This dessert was mediocre.

Nutella, Banana and Marshmallow Puff Pastry Pizza (IDR 111.000): Enough for sharing, the pastry was airy, crunchy, and everything works well with Nutella, don’t you agree? 😉

Bottega still brings the same nice meals that you wants to return to. Another place to add to my to go to restaurant in SCBD area.
