Here’s another review on a healthy/clean eatery destination for you sport addicts. As I was strolling through Fairgrounds area, I happen to stumble upon Beets and Bouts. Aside from the interesting choice of name, the place has colorful, fun surroundings. A nice place to rest your tired/aching body after a hard exercise session and just seat and enjoy your makeup free self without a care in the world. Well, at least that’s mostly what I imagine after seeing the cheerful throw pillows and the reading corner they provide.
About the food, here, they actually have more than just soft food. Aside salads, sandwiches and juices, there are also some ‘real food’ like Nasi Kuning and other Indonesian rice dishes. A good selection for foodies who love to eat as much as sweating it out. Too bad I’ve had my lunch and could only settle for light snacks, so here’s what I ordered:
Quinoa Salad (IDR 52.500): Good quinoa, delicious tasty shredded chicken breast, the only thing that I wasn’t fond of was the sweet dressing, it didn’t go well with the already sweet salad.
Chicken Mandarin Salad (IDR 30.000): Love this salad, the lettuce was fresh, the chicken was flavorful, plus the crunchy wonton skin and the savory fragrant dressing completed the group.
Of course I can’t say much based on my salad orders, so maybe Beets and Bouts deserves more visit for a taste for their other dishes.
