Bacco – Lotte Shopping Jakarta

Author: Posh Eater

Located in the brand new Lotte Shopping Mall, Bacco offers a fresh vibe to the Jakarta’s International culinary scene. The menu was variant with Italian, Mexican to Indonesian food. The restaurant gives off a straight forward visual message: simple, manly and perfect for a business lunch meetings. The one thing that was in need of improvement was the slow service, which is normal for a brand new venture such as this one.

Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken (IDR 70.000): Romaine lettuce, soft boiled eggs, anchovy and classic Caesar dressing. Good quality of greens, with delicious dressing.

Mushroom Cappeletti (IDR 75.000): Procini and Champignon stuffed pasta served with Truffle and cheese cream sauce. Fantastic dish with strong taste of Truffle.

Bacco Nacho (IDR 55.000): Two kinds of tortilla chips, jalapeños,Pico de Galo and Guacamole. Love the double chips with generous amount of scrumptious dipping in the middle.

Salmon Vol Au Vent (IDR 55.000): Salmon in puff pastry. Crunchy pastry with delicate and creamy salmon filling.

Fusili Pesto (IDR 20.000): Curly pasta, basil pesto,Parmigiano- Reggiano. Delicious pasta with fragrant pesto.

Black Angus Tenderloin 200Gr (IDR 220.000): Good quality of beef, cooked perfectly, but wasn’t seasoned well enough. The mushroom sauce was also in need of a strong taste.

Devil Chicken (IDR 90.000): Pan roasted boneless chicken with oven roasted tomato, capsicum, courgette and risotto cake. The chicken was perfectly cooked, I’d prefer a bit more seasoning, but the rest was delicious.

Pork Ribs (IDR 120.000): Barbequed pork ribs glazed in sweet and sour barbeque  sauce, mashed potato and homemade slaw. Delicious sweet sour and tangy pork with slaw that’s to die for.

Spaghetti Carbonara (IDR 90.000): Parma ham, cheese , egg yolk cream sauce. Extra thick creamy pasta, love the bold taste, but a little too creamy for my liking.

Sambal Iga Sapi (IDR 110.000): Slow roasted Australian beef ribs, spicy sambal served with soup. Succulent ribs with spicy sambal.

Casa Noble Tequila Pie (IDR 65.000): Caramel and Hazelnut chocolate. Crunchy top chocolate layer with fresh crust and dark chocolate filling. It’s out of this worldly Good.

Creme Brulle (IDR 55.000): Vanilla, Coffee and Manjari Chocolate Creme Brulle. Delicious generous size dessert with perfectly burnt caramel sugar on the top.

Tortino (IDR 55.000): Semi baked chocolate caramel souffle. Love the texture  of the ‘chocolate melt’ like cake, the caramel added the spark to the flavor. It’s delish.

Love the sea bass, duck infused with armagnac and the casa noble tequila pie is to die for. I was there for a 4 course petit chateau wine dinner event and the place was packed and vibrant, a new top hot spot in my book.
