Attarine is a new addition of Potato Head group, that just opened its door a few weeks ago. Being one of so many restaurants in Gunawarman/Senopati area, I was wondering if this one could stand out among the rest, or just one of the forgettable ones. The interior is certainly youthful oriented, with colors and beautiful lighting and nice vibe. The placement of an old car in the middle maybe seems odd but doesn’t Not work with the cheerful surroundings. I’ve noticed that they use the car’s trunk to use too. The lunch menu here is very limited, mostly light meals and drinks. A little too light for my taste but let’s give it a try before we judge anything.
Mixed Lettuce (IDR 85.000): Pomelo, toasted sesame, simple Vinaigrette. Simple light salad with cottage cheese.
Grilled Fish (IDR 145.000): White Snapper fillet with roasted paprika, fried garlic and coriander. The fish was in good quality, cooked well, and the seasonings was on point. I just wish it has crispier skin.
Crispy Chicken Leg (IDR 145.000): Crisp coating, the chicken was well marinated, and the spiced honey on top complemented the dish.
Baby Carrots (IDR 45.000): Crunchy carrots with Cilantro-chile dressing.
Baked Cheese Cake (IDR 65.000): Caramel baked cheese cake with yogurt, vanilla shortbread, coconut sugar caramel. Love the crust, but wasn’t a fan of the strong smell of the cheese.
Tabanan Bali (IDR 65.000): 70% South Sumatra Dark Chocolate Cake with bittersweet dark chocolate ganache. The cake was moist, with deep dark chocolate flavor. I like it.
My visit to Attarine was just okay, but wasn’t enough to satisfy my hunger of new and exciting dishes. But I can’t really judge a new restaurant by its lunch menu..or could I?
